  • Eccentric Country House Wedding

I finally got to meet with the kent collaborators last week at Bradbourne House in East Malling.

I was very excited to be on site and enjoy seeing my designs spring to life.

The brief was Eccentric Country House wedding..........eccentric...........I tried my best!!!!!

I made the dress in a white bucle fabric with a plum and lime check. The dress was then lined in a plum fabric to bring a bit of depth.

It shows best from the back view where the scarf designs move and give a flash of the colour.

To accessorize this fab own I designed firstly a headpiece to compliment the back ribbon motif but made it lighter by using an organza ribbon.

I then got a bit adventurous by making a 'hat' of sorts!!! Using the dress fabric I wanted to make a tyrolian style hat with a plume of plum coloured feathers. (Gwenda had a sweet little bird which I added on site and gave it a wonderful finish)

    I then decided........not enough eccentricity!!!!

My Carrie veil is traditionally quirky but I made it bigger and better this time.

Plum and lime layers of organza. Made for a challenge for James the hairdresser!!!

The following pics are mostly by me on my phone so sorry for quality.

The amazing Kat Forsythe will be providing her incredible professional ones soon but I was too impatient to wait for those!!! The first one is hers though.

    Enjoy a bit of bonkers!!!!
